Do you love to travel and are looking for the perfect plan in the Mediterranean? We could say that autumn is one of the best times to travel in a quieter environment while still enjoying good weather. The Balearic Islands are always a great choice for autumn travelers.
And if you’re looking for a plan that combines sport and nature, then stay tuned because I’m going to tell you about your next destination. The Lighthouse Route on the island of Mallorca offers an incredible experience to feel the sea, enjoy nature, discover the magic of small inland villages, and savor Mediterranean cuisine.
Discover the Great Protagonist
There are numerous lighthouses to be found in Mallorca, but without a doubt, some are special and you can’t miss them on your autumn trip to the island. You’ve surely heard of one of them: the Cap de Formentor Lighthouse, one of the most popular. It is a long and narrow peninsula about 15 km long, ending with a tower situated nearly 200 meters above sea level. Overall, it offers a stunning landscape experience filled with nature, wonderful beaches, and cliffs.
Another great discovery for your trip is to visit one of the oldest lighthouses in the world: the Portopí Lighthouse. Standing about 41 meters above sea level, this 14th-century tower is located today in the city of Palma, right next to the harbor. Inside, you’ll find the most incredible treasures of maritime signaling and from our era. Overall, it’s a historical gem that you should consider for your lighthouse route.
On the east coast of Mallorca, you will find one of the coziest and most charming routes on the island. Starting from the wonderful crystal-clear waters of Cala Pi, a hiking trail leads to the Cabo Blanco Lighthouse, a journey of about 7 kilometers that allows you to enjoy the landscape at a leisurely pace. The lighthouse was built in the 19th century and offers stunning panoramic views. Additionally, it is not one of the most crowded, so you can admire the bay of Palma in the distance.
The Lighthouse Route is an ideal plan to enjoy in autumn, thanks to its tranquility and pleasant weather. However, the Balearic Islands are always a wonderful option for a getaway. If you’re planning to travel at another time of year, Vibra Hotels remain open from March to October, where you can feel the sea close by at the Hotel Vibra Palma Cactus, located in Playa de Palma, just 300 meters from the beach and only 5 kilometers from the airport.
Another great option is the Hotel Vibra Beverly Playa, located right on the beachfront in Paguera (Calvià), a quieter area known for its crystal-clear waters and natural beauty surrounded by pine trees. Paguera is about 30 minutes from the airport and has public transport options near the hotel.
Now you know if you’re traveling to Mallorca in November, take the Lighthouse Route and enjoy a beautiful sunset by the sea. Don’t think twice and indulge in the pleasures of Mallorca’s island life this autumn!
