Especially if you are one of those who like to go into rocks and cliffs to contemplate the magic of this other side of Ibiza, do not stop reading until the end. You will see that in this blog we tell you everything!

We propose a route through what we consider the best caves of Ibiza, whether you are planning your boat trip around the island, as if you prefer to do it by land.

Cave-viewpoint of Es Vedra

We start with a cave that few people know, the cave-viewpoint of Es Vedrá. It is right in front of the islet of the same name, in the area of Sa Pedrera. It is a small cavity in the rocky stone decorated with all kinds of hippie ornaments that visitors have been leaving there. It is a somewhat hidden place and few people know of its existence, so you will not find almost people visiting it at the same time as you and you can enjoy total tranquility and peace, contemplating the wonderful views of Es Vedrá. Note that it is easy to get there, since you will find it just below the esplanade of the viewpoint of Es Vedrá.

Atlantis – Sa Pedrera

Since you are in the zone of Sa Pedrera, you must not miss its old quarry of marés. A special place where you can take a refreshing swim. It has a natural swimming pool, Atlantis, unknown and located in the own stone quarry.

In Sa Pedrera or Atlantis, as it is popularly known, you will not find any type of tourist overcrowding. You will be surprised by its crystalline waters on the edge of a cliff. This amazing natural pool is hidden under a sandy ravine of difficult access, within the Natural Reserve of Cala d’Hort.

Can Marçà

This is one of the most impressive caves in Ibiza. It is located in the cliffs of Port de Sant Miquel de Balansat, and it is a natural space of about 14 meters high and a tour of about 40 minutes illuminated by a halo that, of course, seems magical; a spectacle of color that you should not miss. It is open all year round. It represents one of the most visited tourist attractions in the north of Ibiza.

The Cathedral of the Sea or the Cave of Cala LLonga

It is a cave 28 meters deep located in Cala LLonga. If diving is your thing, you will find a subway grotto that is quite a spectacle. They say it is called the Cathedral of the Sea because it has an impressive vault.

Cave of Santa Inés

This is a small cave located at the foot of a hill near the town of San Antonio. It houses what is considered to be one of the oldest chapels on the island, that of Santa Agnès. However, it is currently privately owned and is not open to the public. That is, you will have to make do with knowing the environment and, why not, eat at the restaurant Sa Capella (former chapel dedicated to the cult of this Ibizan saint).

Ses Llagostes Cave

In this curious cave conditioned as an aquarium and known as Aquarium Cap Blanc, you can observe a great variety of marine fauna of the area, from sharks to rotifers, groupers and manta rays, which inhabit this natural cave.

All these places that we recommend are full of color and diversity, from the blue of its crystal clear waters, to the intense and incredible shades of the caves. These images will remain in your retina forever. Now you will need a well-deserved rest and we suggest any of the best hotels on the island for its excellent value for money, where you can also enjoy delicious breakfasts to recharge your batteries.
