With more than 52 beaches and coves and 210 kilometres of coastline, Ibiza’s turquoise blue waters will leave a lasting impression on you. Everyone who visits the island discovers a spot in the Mediterranean that would be the envy of the Caribbean.
Ibiza’s characteristic colour comes from the oceanic Posidonia, an aquatic plant which is the symbol of one of the island’s most important natural assets, and gives its waters their transparency. This is the reason why the prairie of the Natural Park of Ses Salines in Ibiza and Formentera was declared a World Heritage Site in 1999.
Ibiza is filled with enchanting landscapes, unspoiled beaches and coves surrounded by nature, some of which cannot be reached by foot. In fact, plenty of people take boat or kayak trips, so they too can discover this true hidden paradise.
However, in addition, Ibiza has something for all requirements and tastes: family beaches, beaches for the young, for sporty people, for quiet folk and for nudists, plus white sand beaches and rocky ones too.
