Ibiza is reviving the splendour of its nature and surroundings this 2020 season. The white isle is a destination that attracts millions of visitors for it crystal clear, paradisaical waters, its seductive and appealing gastronomy, and, of course, for being the capital of world music. This season, the island’s clubbers are hibernating after the advertisements that the clubs would not open and the restrictions on the discos. However, there are many ideas for you this summer 2020 and for reviving that 70’s spirit of Ibiza without the crowds, while looking after and enjoying the environment and keeping Ibiza’s true sparkle in play. Our recommendations
Las Dalias reopens with a bang: music, craftwork and gastronomy
Everyone knows Las Dalias flea market. Located before you get to Sant Carles, it’s the cornerstone of craftwork and hippy vibes. Las Dalias has reopened its doors and offers a host of ideas for all kinds of public. The Hippy Market takes place every Saturday from 10am to 6pm, and the popular Night Market resumes on 20 July from 7pm to 12:30am. As a musical programme running parallel, Las Dalias opens its “Sueños de Libertad Live Sessions” every Friday from 8pm; and you’ll need to book Los Suruba sessions from 8pm on Sundays. To stay up to date with the full Las Dalias programme, we recommend you follow them on social media.
For cinema fans and lovers of unique experiences, Cinema Paradiso Ibiza is back!
Cinema Paradiso Ibiza is a top recommendation for your holidays in Ibiza. And as the majority of us mere mortals do have a private cinema at home, there’s a public cinema screening to take your breath away: unbeatable spots that stand out for their originality or unique location combined with the September experience presenting powerhouse titles such as A Star Is Born, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, Saturday Night Fever… See the calendar here. With a little luck, it’ll coincide with the dates of your holiday in Ibiza!
The sunsets with the best vibes are back!
The plans that are still going ahead, that are even better and continuing indefinitely include the best sunsets with legendary concerts from Café Mambo. This iconic spot opened its doors on 17 July much to the pleasure of its visitors and residents with the top musical notes being hit beneath the seductive light of the sunset. Just to note, we recommend booking a table as this season the new safety measures such as guaranteed social distancing are being applied. The programme will be soon be released on its social media profiles, so keep an eye out!
Everything always tastes better at sea
One of the indispensable options is trying water sports on Ibiza’s waters. From paddleboarding and kayak trips, to the most daring and eccentric sports like the speed of a personal watercraft, flyboard, Seabob or traditional snorkelling. We recommend some places you can go to book your experience and play it safe like SUP Ibiza, a team that organises paddleboarding trips and who are experts in showing you the island’s top spots; and Yacht Watersports Ibiza, the king of the extreme water sports. It has all kinds of “toys” for the most daring among you! There are tons of options. And there’s no doubt that this year you’ll adore our crystal-clear waters even more.
