‘Es Vedrà’ is a small island near Ibiza with a stunning natural beauty, which hides an endless number of tales and legends. Admired by residents and tourists, it was declared a nature reserve in 2002, and is part of ‘Es Vedrá’, ‘Es Vedranell’ and ‘els illots de Ponent’.
According to the legend, when ‘Es Vedrà’ was separated from the island of Ibiza, acquired huge properties of energy collector. Standing in front of Cala d’Hort, it became a custodian which covers and protects the island, providing it with an aura of mystery. In fact, just looking at it from a distance you can feel that special magic.
Whether tales, legends or simple gossip, the island has always been considered as one of the most enigmatic corners of the ‘Pitiusas’. In fact, several researchers profess that ‘Es Vedrà’ is part of the called ‘Triangle of Silence’, along with the ‘Rock of Ifach’ (Calpe) and the southwest coast of Mallorca. It is also compared with the famous ‘Bermuda Triangle’, even talking about the existance of paranormal phenomena.
In the 15th century, the French physicist and astrologer Nostradamus already predicted that Ibiza would be “the last refuge of the earth” and, in case of a global nuclear war, Ibiza would be the last place where life exists thanks to its special air flows.

How to arrive?
Drive from Ibiza to Sant Josep de Sa Talaia, then take direction to Cala Vadella and continue until you see the exit of Cala d’Hort. You will arrive to the beach in front of ‘Es Vedrá’ use the road towards the islet. If you decide to stay in the beautiful beaches of the west of the islan or in San Antoni, you can maybe make the route by bike, since ‘Es Vedrá’ is close to them.
